Gearbox Failure - No help from Chery Menlyn!!!

I have struggled since June 2025. My Chery has a gearbox failure light that switches on, then off again. A little light icon like this is not major - off course it is. MY CAR GOES IN LIMP MODE. While I drive. From 100km/h to 30km/h on the N1. I have narrowly escaped accidents.

My car has been at Chery Menlyn several times, for weeks. Chery feels, if they do not see the light icon on, it is no big deal. They have seen the light icon on, but the software detects no problem. This to me is life threatening.

I always get my car back with same issue.

After a year of me complaining, Chery Menlyn had the car another 3 weeks. My car is now 3 years old - same problem occurs.

This is the latest response from Chery Menlyn service manager: "We will gladly assist in checking the vehicle, unfortunately before replacement of parts can be done, the part that needs to test defective in order to replace under warranty. We will need to test all sensors and related electronics on the vehicle to determine where the fault is situated. Just keep in mind there is a big delay in parts. Please bring the vehicle for assessment"

3 years later. My warranty? - April 2026

This is unacceptable.
