Cery Tiggo stay away going to cost you!!!!
Bought a Cherry 4 months ago as a demo, at 22000km, drove it for a month and the Gearbox lifgt came on stating Urgent Gearbox Failure, took it into the local dealer to fix the issue, they did not really know what the issue was but did say it could be a filter that gets blocked on the breather?? So that was changed and tested, after collection the car the Alert re-appeared "Gearbox Failure" I took it back and after some diagnostics, the very astute mechanic found the a cable plug connector was the cause and he straightened a pin in the connector which resolved the issue - that said I was very afraid to drive the car and had to use another means of transport until I could get the time take it in. At 28000 km today I heard my brakes making a terrible metal to meatal sound and took it into the Cherry dealership to see what the issue was. The same astute mechanic told me the brake pads were worn-out and need replacing which I found very hard to believe as I had only put 6000 km on this car with almost zero town driving, which I explained, knowing the good human the mechanic was he tried to motivate my concerns of the unbelievable period that the brake pad wearing which is not normal to any type of car but appears the case only with Chery Tiggo - the response for his Head Office was it wear and tear and not a mechanical issue which I and he thinks it has to be. So a flat stuff you attitude and the fact that you need to pay upfront for the part which still have to be ordered and takes 4 days, of which I cant drive the car causing more damage and no indication on the car that the brake were wearing makes only deduce the fact that this is a piece of **** and encourage all people look at this car to avoid it at all costs - but the more traditional brands, it heavy on fuel and many electronic just go off while you driving a true shocking experience with this car. Warranties are mis-represented.
