Bought vehicle with concealed problems
I traded a Chery Tiggo 1.6 TX for a Tiggo 2.L . on 9 Dec 2014. I never received a service book that I numerously requested. I had the vehicle for 22 days and less that 3000km when it left me stranded on 1 January 2015 for more than 6 hours on the N3 on my way back from holiday. The matter was reported and Chery Gezina was very helpful at first. A service agent for Chery confirmed that the valves had caused major damage to the engine. they also confirmed that the valves and engine cap had been worked on prior to this break down.
the matter was referred to Chery SA who rep**** and mentioned that it might take some time.
I had been without a vehicle for seven weeks. I receive no progress report from Chery SA. I had no report from Chery Gezina since I reported the matter to the credit provider, MFC (Nedbank) It is clear that this vehicle has engine problems that I was unaware of.
