Be Warned

Let this be a warning to anyone that is going to buy a Chery New or Second hand

Bought a J2 Swag brand new , 31 000 km clutch went , clutch replaced and fixed a total of 3 time to this point , car has 115 000 km on it and its going again. So clutch warranty was to 30 000km and we have had to fix and replace it it every 30k odd km. Just to add to it we found out that the dealership does not exist anymore and need to go to KIA the first time. So now they back to sell a new range and leave again.

Everything breaks. I have tried to get a part for this car for over a year now with no luck , as an experiment I called the other day asking about a couple other parts with the majority of them not available in the country. The parts issue is something we have been dealing with for the last 4 years.

So you are going to wait for 6 months + for parts to arrive from China and most likely be told it didn't arrive or someone bought it as they will not let you know nor can they tell you when it arrives.

Try calling customer care , try it before you buy a Chery. And trust me when I tell you in a couple of years time your car is going to stand more waiting for parts then it is going to be on the road.

Be warned , we back then said to ourselves , lets give it chance , big mistake! If you going to drive the car for 3 years and let it go then sure ,that can work but if you planning on keeping it for longer than that ,good luck!
