Worst hunting experience with ********* hunting practices

Most disappointing hunting trip I have ever had. Nothing was as promised or as per the information given. Their hunting ethics are disgusting. Using a helicopter to hunt game with a shot gun at point blank range is not hunting. We, ethical hunters were trying to hunt on foot and had the constant drone of the helicopter over us. The animals were extremely skittish and clearly terrified and stood no chance of survival. There are numerous wounded animals that are running around and dead carcasses litter the bush, the smell is **********. We were promised a PH per hunter, but were given 1 which we had to share between four hunters. We were cramped into a vehicle that was too small for us. Sending a hunter into the bush with a 13 year old child ‘PH’ who has no idea what he is doing and often disobeys basic gun safety is a recipe for disaster. Furthermore, he had a foul mouth and made inappropriate remarks. There are no radios on the farm, and they rely on intermitted cell phone signal and the location of hunters across the farm is unknown, making for a very dangerous hunting experience. Each day we were promised that game would be delivered, but that never materialised. The accommodation is not as advertised, the kitchen is under equipped and cramped. The house we stayed in had a fireplace, however we could not use it as it had a bees nest in it. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice, however the showers in the bathrooms are death traps and the whole bathroom gets wet when showering. The one rooms shower is not connected to the plumbing and the grey water pours out a pipe in the wall and floods the braai area. We were sent pictures of a lovely fireplace area, but were given a rusted barrel and some chairs to use. Be wary of the owner, Delan most things that come out of his mouth is a lie. The Lodge is full of dilapidated thatch huts, but the firefighting equipment is unusable. Slaughter facilities are filthy and the smell is unbearable. On our final day we were told that we had to leave at 8 sharp because another group was arriving, even though in our contract with the farm its states we may leave at 10am. The only positive was the one guide we were given, Thys, he tried his best to accommodate us, but Delan was totally unprofessional with his constant lies and even berated Thys in front of us and other guests. What was supposed to be a stress-free 4 days turned into worst hunting experience I have ever had, please think twice before you book with Cheasas Peak.
