This was by far the worst hunting experience we have ever had. The owner was consistently rude and disrespectful towards both staff and clients. We were also very concerned about the lack of safety measures during hunting activities. On several occasions, four hunting vehicles were operating and shooting in close proximity without any apparent communication or coordination, creating what we felt was an unsafe environment. In addition, several of the game species we were expecting were not available on the property. Meals were repeatedly served much later than the scheduled times, often more than two hours late. We also witnessed behaviour that raised serious concerns regarding hunting ethics and client transparency. The owner instructed the professional hunter to tell clients that they had successfully shot an animal even when a shot had been missed. Furthermore, portions of a hunter’s animal, including the fillets, were removed and served as dinner to other guests without the hunter’s knowledge or consent. The accommodation was also disappointing. The rooms were poorly lit, the doors could not be locked properly, and there was very little privacy. Based on our experience, we found the owner to be manipulative and unprofessional.
