BLEH...
We visited this establishment in April 2025. A couple of issues I find quite concerning 1) There is a fault on the electricity supply, and some of the equipment in the dining room gives you a shock when it is touched. 2) Although visually clean, the entire lodge including rooms needs to be DEEP CLEANED We were a group of 11 guests, 13 staff, with only 1 cleaner and 1 cook on duty. 3) A visit to the kitchen to heat up a cup of milk, left me stunned. Tiles were removed from the walls, with raw cement still visible, No running hot water in the kitchen No microwave in the kitchen The kitchen is ill equipped and will surely not pass any Health/Compliance inspection. 4) Slaughtering facilities are **********, with a smell of meat rotting carcasses coming from the area where salted skins and trophies are stored with flies everywhere Meat processing room dirty with dead insects littering the windowsills, 5) General lack of of huntable game, 6) Professionalism of PH’s and guides are questionable, as they were drinking while in the field with hunters and CHILDREN on the vehicle, playing loud music and having the time of their lives, and helping themselves to quests’ drinks etc. One of the quests could not find the animal he was looking for as a result. 7) Vehicles used for hunting is in dire need of repair/upgrade. 8) Although I am speculating, I get the impression that staff are not treated well and not within framework of labour relations legislation. 9) No safes are provided to store rifles I cannot recommend this establishment and will surely not visit again.
