Defective Device to be cancelled

<p>Hi. I have been having endless issues with Vodacom and the Chatz cellular store in Mall of Africa. The device purchased on contract does not work effectively. It only connects 50% of the time, despite checking coverage before the purchase, despite numerous changes to the device settings and complaints to the store, they refuse to cancel the device. Please can this be sorted out as I am tired of waiting for this to be resolved and will take it to the Ombudsman and the newspaper if I need to. Clifton, the area manager was pathetic at assistance after the OBF was completed and he completely ignored my mails hence delaying the matter, Muhammad is great but he does not want to cancel because he doesn't want the cancellation to be taken off his store (which I cannot understand because it was a device from that store and I definitely will not keep a defective device and pay monthly for something that doesn't work well), and Yandisa has just prolonged the process and I refuse to keep this device. How is it that only now that I am being persistent about cancelling that they want to send someone out? Despite that I have concrete proof in the form of screen shots to show that the device is connected but responds with "No Internet Connection" and will not work, yet when I disconnect the device and insert a work Vodacom ****le into the laptop, everything loads and works fine? The same with my phone, its 2 years old and works better on the Vodacom network than this new device. Please can this be cancelled. I am done with these issues. It has been two months and while I appreciate Muhammad's assistance, this cannot go on.</p>

Reviewer Update

Guys, can someone get a hold of me and cancel the contract that is giving me endless hassles from October. It's somehow defective, even after the OBF was conducted it still does not work properly. I am paying 100% of the subscription for a device that functions 50% of the time and as per the CPA, consumers are allowed to request cancellations, refunds or repairs if devices are defective. I want the contract cancelled... I am tired of waiting for Vodacom and Chatz because none of you seem to understand my frustration and none of the previous attempts to resolve the issue have worked with the store or the Vodacom area manager. The device still does not function even 80% of the time and that is not acceptable for an LTE device. I have several screenshots from a few minutes ago to show that nothing loaded over a span of 10 minutes and that's only from the last hour. I go through that daily and it is immensely frustrating. I will be forced to go to the Newspapers and NCC if this is not cancelled because I am done with your outrageous lack of service.
