Charged for a Loan I Never Received — Then Threatened With Lawyers

I app**** for a loan through Chainpay Loans, and never received a single cent — not even a loan offer. But they still debited my account for R250 as a “registration fee” and attempted to charge me R98 per month after that.

When I complained and asked for a refund, they responded with aggressive emails, refused to take responsibility, and even threatened me with legal action for speaking up.

Their terms are buried in fine print, and the DebiCheck makes you feel like you're approving the loan — not unknowingly signing up to be debited for nothing.

This is misleading, unfair, and takes advantage of desperate people looking for financial help.

I’ve reported them to Capitec, the National Credit Regulator, and PASA.

If you're thinking of applying for a loan with them — DON’T. You’ll pay for a service you never receive, and get threatened if you try to fight back.
