BIG NO AS TENANT OF CELSA

Mixed review.

The tenant is never a client of theirs, tenants are just milking ***s. rental agreements loaded with all sort of charges to borne by the tenant. Moving-in and out inspection fees for the tenant's account, monthly admin fees (isn’t this covered by commission) or recoverable from the landlord. REQUEST A COPY OF THE LEASE AGREEMENT BEFORE ANY PAYMENTS ARE MADE.

The body corporate charged me a penalty of R500 with admin fee of R150 for a error in judgment. Celsa added another R280 on top of it, why? Celsa then phoned me asking me why I didn’t respond to their e-mail regarding penalty the body corporate charged me. Told them, I never received it. Turned out they send it to the wrong email. Offered no apologies rather asked about my rental payment the previous month, which they did received.

Landlord renewed my contract just to give me notice after 3 months into the renewal period, selling his property. Celsa was quick to threaten me on all the cancellation penalties and gave me the required 2 months’ notice. They had a unit available 1 month before I had to vacate, But refuse to let me move in because the landlord will be out of pocket for that 1 month. But it was him giving me notice to move out within 2 months. No regard to what expenses I have to incurred. They promised that I will have first option on rentals becoming available 01 Nov, both the principal owner and office assured me. Guess what, nobody contacted me, yet they advertised units even within the same complex without giving me first option. So much for their promises. I was again on their radar in the week I had to vacate the property, bombarded with emails and phone calls, making sure I will vacate the premises. Thankfully i received my full deposit after deducting R750 move out inspection. just about the interest my deposit earned over the rental period. But I suspect if a new tenant would have moved in, all sorts of deductions would have been made. A BIG NO TO CELSA PROPERTIES AS A POTENTIAL TENANT.
