Supply faulty device and extremely arrogant about assisting in getting device repaired and passing the buck

On 1 February I upgraded my contract at Cellucity The Grove where I was helped by a very professional advisor who knew pro's and con's of all the contracts well.

However, this phone started acting within two days, after a week I took it back to them to repair or at least have their technicians assess the damage.

The technicians informed me that they could not assist as it was the "motherboard" that needs to be replaced. According to the advisor, the protocal is to send faulty devices to Wefix, as it was still under warranty.

I drove to Wefix, booked my phone in. Wefix promised a response within five "working" days. After seven working days I contacted them to find out what is going on as they have not contacted me yet. I learned then that Wefix are not fami**** with Huawei response times in terms of hardware, so they can't give me a time they will have the device fixed.

It has now been three weeks and I received a maail yesterday from Wefix indicating that they still have not had a response from Huawei, so they can't give me a timeline.

I called Cellucity again because I can't keep paying for something I am not using. Cellucity personnel acts like it is not their fault, they do not have the device therefore can't be held responsible.

However, they made money from me when they sold the faulty device to me, therefore it should be common sense that they should take responsibility for the repair of the faulty goods they sold. It is also still within warranty. Cellucity also could not provide a backup telephone.

Cellucity can apparantly also not do anything from their side to find out what the delay on Wefix's side is (despite them working in association).

The worst is the attitude of the employees, acting like it is my own fault. I wonder if they are properly trained? Or is it just part of the Cellucity business culture to NOT take responsibility and always blame the next guy as you already made your money from the sale.

Extremely disappointing.

After this review was reported, Cellucity called me immediately and continued to follow up on the issue and everything was sorted out within 24 hours of posting this review.
Everything was handled the way it should have been from the start. Lebogang particularly did go out of her way to improve the service delivery and I am very thankful for that.
