Sale more important than honest service

We purchased a new cellphone form the store in July 2023. The salesman who assited us informed us that apple has changed their product inthe sense that you need to buy a adater seperate additional to the phone. We specifically asked if the cable itself cannot still be used and we were told that the plug into the phone has changed as well as the size of the usb plugin. We asked if the old cable we had cannot be used and were informed no. So we purchased the additional plug and when we got home we found that the cable is exactly as the previous cable. We returned to the store a week later (as we stay a distance away) and asked the salesperson why he informed us differently. He denied it and the arrogant technical support person stated that the new plug is beter as he knows as he is an expert. The issue was not if it is better (which I subsequently found out is not true) but the fact that i was misinformed. The issue is that they focussed on a sale rather than to assist clients with integrity. Be wary if you do deal with them
