Poor / Aloof after sales culture from the leadership in Cellucity
I had to buy a iPhone 13 Pro as my iPhone 13 Pro Max was lost/****** in Durban. I went to Cellucity (Vodacom Store V&A Cape Town). The service there was great - sim swop done efficiently and installed, bought a cover and glass protector as well. However when I got home a received a message that my iPhone Pro Max was suddenly found and that they would ship it to me in Cape Town. Of course I reached out to the Vodacom store and asked if something could be done since I now had 2 expensive iPhones. The manager requested I send an email to a certain Sean Joffe - the leader of this company I understand. He was NOT interested in me returning a phone I had possessed for 4hours throwing multiple reasons - the phone had been used (how do you swop a sim card without opening the packaging) to we don't sell second hand phones (their website says they do). I guess I was looking for a solution not T&Cs thrown at me. What really angered me was his suggestion that I cancel the insurance on the phone (I had none) and KEEP IT (a R25k phone) IN THE DRAWER !!! What I experienced was a save the sale at all costs, street fighting mentality (the customer is king only until the sale is made). So my view is that there is a efficient sales culture backed by a poor service culture that does nothing to help a customer. It is clear to see this from the many posts on Hellopeter - as soon as you have a problem with a phone, expect no (or poor) service. These guys can do with some coaching in empathy and customer-centricity. Never will I spend a cent again at that store - Cellucity / Vodacom V&A Waterfront - or any Cellucity outlet for that matter.
