Cellucity Tygervally ripoff
On the 24th of December I went to Cellucity in Tygervally to get my daughter an I-phone 11. They had no stock on the new phones but the salesman assured me that the refurbished was as good as new and thoroughly tested for defects and faults. 1 month later we started having battery faults. Took it back in and they could find nothing wrong. Phone would not charge, but for some reason, if you leave it off for 2 days or more it startes charging again. This happened just about once a month. Everytime I took it in, there was some excuse to not look at the phone. After an update on the phine we go a message saying its not an origional battery and the phone can there for not pick it up. Took the phone in AGAIN, shoewd them the message but the technition was not in that day and couldn't assisit.
So a month laster and 5th time I had the phone there, they stated that the phone had picked up some physical damage and they would not be able to fix the battery untill the case was replaced. They then quoted me |R10 000 to repair the front and back cover or a generic cover for R6 500 on the I-phone 11. Keep in mind please that they are selling them at R10 500 in store.. I refused and took it to a local pakistani shop and paid R2000 to fix front and back. Took it in to now have repaired and I got the following email as a response... Hi
This email is to inform you of the repair status of your IPhone 11 which was booked due to being stuck on 1% battery.
During our inspection, we identified physical damage on both the front and rear of the device. It appears that the device has been repaired at a third-party repair center, which unfortunately voids the warranty on your device.
We proceeded to test the device with a new charger and without a charger. However, we were unable to replicate the issue of the device being stuck on 1% battery (NFF - No Fault Found).
If you are still experiencing this issue, we recommend contacting the third-party repair center that performed the previous repairs on your device.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

So because I didn't pay the ridiculous prices for the cover, they refuse to fix the battery problem. People please stay away from Cellucity and they 2nd hand phones. You will only regret it
