***** and **** by Cellucity Pavallion and Payjoy.
I took a phone contract with them through Payjoy on the 5th Nov. 2024. It was white samsung A35 with R414 weekly installment. I need the phone for work and academic reasons. In the middle of December they locked my phone while I was up to date with my weekly installment. I visited the cellucity pavalion in durban with my complain and they had to restore factory settings which deleted most critical work and school information. I spoke to Payjob agent that due to my loss I suffered through wiping my phone when I was not defaulting any payment, I am cancelling the contract, we had a conference call with payjoy agent, myselft and the store clerk to return the devise, and the clerk accepted the phone and confirmed that they have received in good condition. Payjoy agent said it takes 30 days to have the contract finalized and removed under my name. End of January when I enquire about cancellation , I was told the phone had a physical damage, I was surprised how did a store accepted a phone with physical damage and later claim it was damaged. I have all the email correspondences for the back and forth. Last week friday 11th April 2025, i sent an email to make another enquiry about contract closer, only today 14th April 2025 I spoke to payjoy agent who said to me , he contacted the store, and the clerk in question admitted to have received the phone in good condition, but upon consulting with his or her manager, they found physical damaged. My question is how did a store clerk confirm accepted the returned phone upon inspection and confirmed it was in good condition only to stay with a phone for almost three months to say the phone was damaged together with his or her manager. is this how cellucity pavillion conduct it business daily, this is total ********* business practice from both Payjoy and Cellucity pavilion. I have all the email paper trail, and if this matter is not attended with the urgency it deserves, I will have no choice but to take it Twitter, facebook and tiktok so that I protect next unsuspecting victims with their shenanigans. I will also lay a formal complaint with National Consumer Commision
