Although I actually like the service and the people from V Cell Clinix, I was badly done in by them recently. My friend bought a Huawei P10 lite from them and soon after, the phone failed to charge. He had it repaired at their store and I purchased the phone from him. It worked fine for awhile until it failed to charge yet again.

I am somewhat of a technician myself. I usually just purchase parts from them to repair my own devices. I opened the phone to inspect why it is not charging. What I found was horrific. My friend payed them R400.00 for a new charging port and the fitting of said port. The port I found inside was the old port. It has just been glued back into place. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps they only charged him for labor and not a new part. I googled the part and according to eBay, it was about R30.00 incl VAT. So I added a markup of 60 and then added VAT twice. The price was now about R100.00. So R400.00 would cover a new part and labor. Why then was the old part still present?

I feel harshly disappointed by that service and I can see why they are so badly rated. This was a prime example of a company cheating and *****ing from their customers. I shall return to them tomorrow to try to resolve this. Lets hope they can admit to their foul play and amend.
