WRONG ADVISE GIVEN
My Cell C sim was ****** a month ago, so Cell C told me to buy a new sim and phone them for a Sim Swap. I phoned the call centre and told them that I want to keep my Cell C contract but change the number to my Vodacom pay as you go number that I have been using for the past 20 years. They told me no problem I must do the sim swap as per the prompts on their self service line and afterwards they can just do the number change. So with a huge struggle I eventually did the sim swap. They created the case for me and told me someone will phone me in 2 - 3 hours time. So I waited and waited and waited and after 4 hours phoned them back. Then another agent told me now I must go and buy another cell c sim and get it registered under my name then port the Vodacom number or something, and after 2-3 days another department will phone me to do the number change. I did not understand that at all. I am a working woman and don't have time to drive up and down the whole time to buy sim after sim and spend all my time and money on trying to do just one simple request. They should of felt good that I wanted to join Cell C, after 20 years of excellent service with Vodacom.
