Wow Cell C really broke my trust now

I have a cellphone on contract at cell C, now the microphone on the cellphone has stopped working. The phone is under warranty for faults like this. Cell C has sent me a quotation for this to my utmost surprise. I am guessing its because of the small crack on my screen but what on earth does the crack on my screen have to do with my microfone?????

Nice R2400 for the microphone and antenna and I have to pay that because my screen is cracked. VERY ANGRY
