Worst service provider in the world.

My mother in-law is an elderly lady in her 60's. She has had a contract with Cell C for around 20 years. We paid the account on 9 May 2024 and forwarded the proof of payment to the e-mail address. A couple of days later the service was suspended. She called them to find out why. They told her it was because she did not pay for January 2024. I called Cell C later on, on Wednesday 22 May, with proof of all payments up to date. I spoke to them, with approval and her sitting beside me, to discuss the matter. I spoke to Queen, who was the only helpful person, to discuss the matter. We the realized that the issue was on the payment of 9 May 2024. The ref we used for the payment was incorrect. She advised that they are not allowed to suspend the service if they had the payment. She put me through to another person to help get the service restored. This lady asked us, to once again, mail the proof of payment and note the correct ref for the payment. She said that service would be restored within 48 hours. The service has STILL not been restored. We called again today. Now they want the proof of payment again with the ID of the account holder.

The service at Cell C is so bad that I cannot believe that they still have any customers or customers that are actually able to use the service. They have had the payment since 9 May 2024, yet my mother in-law cannot use it. When you call they look for excuses not to assist you. You always have to prove everything. Even if you do. They make you jump hoops and do not deliver on promises. You are also not able to speak to a manager. They are constantly in meetings. It is the 8th wonder of the world that this company is still in business as there are never any managers available to take a call. We will finish this contract with them and go to another company that is in the business of servicing their customers. As Cell C is not in that business. They are in the business of taking your money and suspending your service. Shame on you Cell C. You are dealing with a 60+ year old lady, who has just lost her husband with NO empathy.
