Worst service from Cell C

I have been a client with Cell C for a good 6yrs. taking contracts year in year out. we had a fantastic relationship. my latest contract ended in May... I called Cell C in June and informed them that I am no longer working and would like to move to prepaid since my 24 months is complete. the consultant gave me the run around. I mentioned its covid and not safe to be going into branches, they said they will move me to prepaid. wonderful. I am a Happy client. a Month later, sms says debit order declined. meaning they **** to me, I get a call from collections in July, I explain I do not work and I have completed my contract and wish to no longer have a contract because I cannot afford it. August another debit order, in August I tell another consultant how unhappy i was, they assure me that i am moved to prepaid. and will not get this problem again. She even said they will even escalate it... that was never done, Wednesday 1st September i get an SMS stating my benefits of data, minustes and sms have been activated after 4 months of me asking them to stop and them telling me they have. 2nd September I am now owing them more than R2000 for these benefits and unpaid debit orders.

i have tried to email Cell C but no one comes back to me, their consultants are trained to lie to customers, even when you tell them you have nothing in your account and thats why the previous debit didnt go through, they still say we have deactivated the contract, and you will not get any finny business, next month, another debit... is there an ombuds for telecoms companies because this is the worst service, and they are damaging my credit and i do not owe them, i paid them in full on their contract... why must we always suffer? No wonder its loosing market value and clients,, its this $#!t service and lies they give customers
