Worst Service Ever

I raised a query on Cell C's customer care help(less) line about debit orders of amounts much higher than what it should be, going off my account.

First raised 3 May and again 1 June.

On the 1st querry no reason for this was given and they closed this querry without getting back to me. They did try to phone me, I was in a meeting at the time and couldn't answer and also was not aware at the time it was Cell C who called.

Onlywhen I again raised a query 1 June for the same reason, this time an even bigger amount being deducted, and referring to this issue already being raised, was I informed they closed the previous one becaise theu didn't get hold of me...

The guy on the 2nd qyery was much more insightfull and made an effort to investigate why I waa being billed more that what I should be...it came to light that my voluntary limit was never set back to what it should be after travelling out of country.

I opened my roaming when I travelled in Dec/Jan and had to subsequently increase my limit to do so...I okayed this for the period of my travels (as you would do with your bank card to open it for international use for the duration of your travel) , never was it stipulated that on my return I would need to call again for them to set the limit back (found this out today only); to my mind it would automatically be done, as I only okayed the increased limit for the duration of my stay and gave my date of return.

So happy that we finally found the issue on the 1st June for it to now be corrected (limit was brought back down) and the customer care agent also then logged a bill dispute (he said it was the fault of the person who increased my limit and never set it back as per my request, that I have been over-charged...my understanding as well) in order for them to refund me for the deductions made out of my account 31Apr and 31 May (the ones I made a query on) and informed that they would get back to me in 2 working days.

I eventually phoned customer care again after not hearing back from them...highly frustrated and today only, 14 days later, someone came back to me (agent number: JHB970)...this person was completely disrespectful in her way of dealing with a client, continuously kept throwing the issue into my court and making the problem mine to solve...is that not what customer care is there for...to provide a service and solve issues...interrupting when I talk, not listening, terribly ****y; not the least bit of a service or problem solving approach you would expect from a service provider... I eventually told her it was a waste of time as she kept talking me dead not being of any assistance, plainly just strongarming all the way to not foot the bill and having no intention of investigating or listening or coming to a resolution.

2 months with this furustrating issue and then to top it off with such a terrible experience, with one of the worst customer "service" persons I have ever had to deal with, have made me resort to having to badmouth a company for the first time.

I moved over from vodacom not too long ago, they might be slightly more expensive but I suppose you pay for the service you get. I will for sure return to vodacom
