Worst customer service!

Dear Cell C

After being a customer for a number of years, the word disappointment cannot begin to explain the way I feel.

In January 2021, my cellphone contract was due for an upgrade, I decided to upgrade to a laptop. The first few months debit orders were fine, then the amounts increased and did not go off on the agreed date. I called the call centre and was advised to check my online profile to check the balance but it always showed as 0.00

After 3 months, my contract was cancelled by Cell C, I then called them and was advised to pay an 'arrears' amount of which I did, they sent me a sms withthe reference number to use for payment and promised my line will be activated again.

I made a few follow up calls, and each time I was either cold transferred between departments or received different information. I was then referred to my nearest store and when I was at the store, the consultant told me there is a credit on my account. She checked and told me I have 2 account numbers showing on my name and the cellphone contract is in arrears, I do not have a cellphone contract anymore as this was upgraded to a laptop deal. I turns out, the payment I made of 'arrears' was made on the old account number (thanks to your consultant in the call centre) who sent me the sms with the payment reference to use.

I was given email addresses of collections, mangers and senior managers and emailed more than thrice but nobody has the decency to respond.

I have now been handed over, which is affecting my credit score tremendously. I have a statement showing I have a credit on my account, which I have sent via email to you.

PLEASE do not become one of those companies who prefer quantity over quality, oh wait, it is too late.
