Wont give proof of Purchase

Good day<br> I am so ****ed off with Cell C. My Husband bough a phone from them through a contract. The phone has water damage and I took it to Samsung for repairs. Samsung wants proof of purchase which I don't have since it was bought in 2014 and we have relocated. My husband has called Cell C numerous times calling Cell C with no luck and was told to send an email which he did but did not get any response after 2 days of sending it. He then went to a branch and they could not print the proof of purchase because of non payment of the contract. So what do we do with a broken phone if they cant issue a copy of proof of purchase?
