Will not refund a double debit
Cell C double debited at the end of February, I called on the 6th of March and a case number was given to me. I was told that it will take 7 working days to get the money sent back to me but on day 7 nothing came. day 8 I called and was told that my case has been closed due to "No feedback". A new case was created, and it was notified that it will take up to 14 working days. NO CALL, NO FOLLOW UP, NOTHING!!! I CALLED ALMOST EVERY DAY REQUESTING AND WAS TOLD EITHER THEY'RE WORKING ON IT OR IT HAS BEEN ESCALATED. CALLED TODAY AND WAS TOLD BY A CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVE NAMED SULI FROM PARKTOWN JOHANNESBURG THAT I'M MAKING HIS DAY DIFFICULT BECAUSE I SAID I WILL NOT DROP UNTIL I SPEAK TO A MANAGER. CELL C YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PUTRID! YOUR SERVICE IS PUTRID
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration caused by this situation.
After reviewing your account, we’ve noted that two payments of R900 were received—one via cash and the other via debit order. These payments have already offset the March and April 2025 bill runs, leaving your account with a credit of R70.
The current credit can be app**** to your next bill run, but if you'd prefer a refund, please note that we can refund R415 (cash payment) along with the R70 credit. However, this would result in a R415 bill run for this month, which must be settled.
For future reference, kindly ensure that any cash payments are made 5 days before your debit order date to avoid overlapping transactions like this.
Please let us know via private reply if you would like to continue with the refund.

Best regards,
Please receive feedback regarding your refund query.
Following our investigation, we confirm that a debit of R900 was processed in February, followed by an EFT payment of R900. The March and April bills (R415 each) were deducted from this credit, leaving your account with a remaining balance of R70.
As your current and upcoming bills have been covered by this credit, a refund will not be processed. You will only be required to pay your next bill once the credit is fully used.
Thank you for your understanding.
Kind regards,
