Why does RMCS own my number?

I have had a Cell C prepaid number since 2002. I missplaced my sim card and when I attempted to do a sim swop, I was informed that my number belonges to a company called RMCS and is a contract line.

I didnt sign any contract document or authorise any such change. I have been trying for over a year to have my number returned as dealing with RMCS is a total nightmare.

What do I need to do to resolve this? I do not have a sim card as we speak becuase trying to get a sim swop is proving impossible.

I did as instructed on the email and went to the carlton centre store with the information required. Befor even looking at my paperwork, a consultant told be that I couldntbe helped as my number has been inactive for more than 3 months.

I then tried calling the call centre where I spoke to a consultant named Benjamin, who informed me that the way forward you provided via email is impossible and its a lie that cellc can resolve my issue. He gave me an alternative number befor dismissing me.

My matter is still not resolved
