Why am I wasting my time on cellc?

Went to the store to purchase an esim, the guy said I have to buy airtime with the esim to rica it. So I bought airtime, got the esim QR code to load on the phone and when I got home it doesnt want to activate on my phone, called cell c customer service and they say my e sim was never rica'd . Now what? Are you going to pay my petrol to get back to the shop? what about the R50 airtime and R25 e-sim charge? Where did it go?
