What Happened To Customer Service??

We live in an age of social media and virtual reality which in self sounds like an oxy*****. An age were customer service appears to non-existent, when one contacts a call centre and you have explained what your situation is you receive answers simal to recitation learnt in primary school as they repeated identically by each person you make contact with and it goes something like this “I am so sorry to about your problem and I will to my best to fix it” this is the answer you receive after the voice on the other side after listen to your story/ explanation. They genuinely seem to care but very soon you learn that they do not have a clue on how to solve your problem. Your frustration grows even more when you realize that the call centre is your only contact to the major SA organization. I wonder if the top management of these organizations even are aware how *********** their call centres are.

On the 1st of April I made a simple purchase on Cell-C’s website. It appears that they were offering April Fool’s specials on that day. Place your order and it will not be delivered.

Today is day 38 and I still do not have my SIM card on the system my order does not exist. Twelve days ago I made FaceBook post and received a phone call from a very polite lady who was very helpful promising that she would attend to my problem and get it resolved. Last week Monday she called me to tell me that my order was being captured. Today a week later she tells me that it has not being captured as the on-line orders department have a problem and could not give me a definite date and that I would receive it as soon as possible. When I voiced my dissatisfaction I was told that I can always cancel my order. That is an easy solution that means your problem goes away.

It is blatantly obvious that customer service is not a priority with Cell-C and that you are competing with Eskom for the title of worst service provider.
