WATCH OUT WHEN YOU CANCEL A SPECIAL OR MONTH TO MONTH DEAL WITH CELL C

Whatever you do, never use CELL C! Never take their special offers.

They 'signed me up' for a special month to month after my contract for my ****le had expired.

When I came to cancel it because the ****le wasn't working anyway, I discovered they had charged me a different price to my monthly agreed contract. I was paying R129 pm.

The following month after canceling, I was charged R159. Then end of November this month, I was suddenly charged R320!!! (The amount is not a lot it's the principle here of '****************').

When I called to query what was going on, (I thought it was ***** because that amount was never part of my agreed month to month); after their many 'security questions' they calmly said: that because I had cancelled the month to month (it wasn't an annual thing), that they had reverted to charging me a full rate not the special agreed month to month contract stipulated that i had been paying. (I was like, WHAT???)

Then they had the audacity to charge me double on the last month! I couldn't believe it.

I tried to call them at my cost, after 40 minutes holding on the phone with some conversation in between, and of them trying to make it very difficult to get any proper answers, and a very bad line, (which is often the case with CELL PHONE COMPANIES), and my insisting on speaking to a manager, I still was told he is unavailable??? I am livid to say the least. You cannot do this to a customer. it is not only unacceptable but ********* and I will make sure everyone knows.

When you cancel they charge you double your debit order and start charging you normal rates. Nowhere in our conversation was this told to me when canceling the contract. (Which if you ever do cancel, be aware that their 'retentions' division will do everything in their power to *********ly make life extremely difficult and frustrating for you to cancel). Who does that?

Everything with them is the company first not customer first. They cleverly market the customer first but it is NEVER the case.

The only thing they make easy is to sign up because they benefit. Their strategy for releasing customers is a bit like a prison sentence. You never seem to be able to get out easily. Totally ********* company. I will NEVER deal with them again and I will be sure to let everyone know this. 😡
