Waiting for delivery of phone after upgrading

Last week a guy phoned and over the phone I upgraded my phone with a promise that I will receive the phone later in the week. I am still waiting!!!! When you phone 143 all they say is that the phone I wanted is out of stock. They can not tell me more. Will I have to wait a week, a month??? When I tell them its not acceptable they just say thats all they can tell me - its out of stock. I have a good mind and cancel this upgrade and not renew my contract and will also not advice anyone to use cell c. They say they receive stock everyday but still no phone.
