Very Bad Service Cell C

Good day

Gert Combrinck : *** & ***

Herewith a letter regarding my EXTREME disappointment with Cell C.

From the beginning it was a problem – we had to contact Belinda, asking about the phones. Called her again and again – just to hear that it was on back-order. Mentioned that it should not be necessary for us to call all the time, we should be getting constant feedback from Cell C. When they eventually arrived, another set of problems began. We have said repeatedly that we need the phones 24/7 – 365 days. However, nobody seemed to be able to fix the reception problem and hence we’ve lost a lot of business as clients could not hear us, could not come through to our numbers, could not even leave a voicemail. We could not sent e-mails, could not retrieve anything, except when we were at home where we have Wi-Fi. This was explained over and over, and your technician even listened to the bad reception we’ve experienced. Also, up to the time that we gave the phones back, we were still waiting for the cordless charger – that somehow was also not in stock or something.

When we asked if we could rather port back to Vodacom, it was arranged, stating that it would at least take about two days before Cell C would cut us off. However, not even an hour later we were off the air and I had to quickly buy some pre-paid time. Since then it was impossible to port back to Vodacom, as your system has conveniently blocked us for 60 DAYS !!!!!! We can only port back on the 23rd of July, and that is totally unacceptable. Vodacom is unable to ensure us that we will keep our numbers – that means that if we lose the numbers, NONE of our clients will be able to contact us. We have had these numbers for years and years, it is on all our stationery etc. etc., and we absolutely need to keep them.

From Monday the 16th of May we have received endless messages from Cell C to tell us that our device has been booked in on your repair management system, with loads of reference numbers. Now it has even been dispatched. For crying out loud.

We came to Cell C as we were told it was such a bright thing to do - you get money back, you will have this and that. Promises promises. Nothing came of that and now we sit with enormous problems, as we still cannot hear clients, still lose business all the time, still have no joy whatsoever.

It seems that you are misleading the public, and for a big company like yourselves that is a crime that needs to be shouted from the rooftops. We will never, absolutely never, advise any or our friends or clients to make use of Cell C. In fact, just the opposite. You have your money back, you have your phones back – the very least that you can do is to arrange that we can port back to Vodacom WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. That should be easy to do, just give the order to bypass the system and sort it out.

Looking forward to hear from you at your very earliest convenience.

Regards

Gert Combrinck

Dear Maropeng You have tried to call me this morning, and was unable to reach me. Welcome to our problem with Cell C !!! That is exactly what happens, people cannot reach us, it does not even go onto voicemail. Now you have experienced it yourself, and will understand the level of frustration that we have better. As I have said, my clients can’t reach us either and I am losing money as I am unable to conduct my business. Please try and call my wife on *** – maybe you are lucky to reach her. Or else, just kindly sort out the problem. We really need to get up and running again ASAP. It is just not on for Cell C to disrupt our lives and my business in such a way. I am at a point where I want to tell my story in the electronic media for the whole world to read, maybe then we will get some reaction. Looking forward to hearing from you at your very earliest convenience. Thank you Gert Combrinck From: Maropeng Motana Sent: Tuesday, May 24, 2016 9:49 AM To: '***' Subject: Gert Combrinck Dear Mr Combrinck Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
