Urgent: Unauthorized Debit Attempts

Hello Peter,

I am reaching out regarding repeated attempts by Cell C to debit my account outside of our agreed Payment Arrangement. We agreed that the payment would be collected on 30th February 2026, yet there have been attempts to debit my account before this date, resulting in additional bank charges. This is unfair and unacceptable.

As a consumer, I am protected under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, particularly Sections 40, 48, and 49, which ensure fair, honest, and transparent dealings. Continuing to debit my account outside of the agreed date constitutes an unfair business practice and is a breach of our agreement.

I request that:

All debit attempts before the agreed date be immediately stopped.

Any bank charges incurred due to unauthorized debits be refunded.

Written confirmation be provided acknowledging your compliance with this arrangement.

I trust this matter will be addressed urgently. Should the issue continue, I will escalate it to the National Consumer Commission and consider further legal action.
