Upgrade to iPhone 16 - waiting more than a month and no phone
My contract expired at the end of Sept, and I was contacted by Cell C for an upgrade. I chose my phone and they said they had 7 units in stock and I will get my phone within 3 - 5 working days. After not receiving my new phone 2 weeks later, I cancelled the upgrade. Another agent called me and promised me that I would receive my phone in 1 weeks time. Two weeks have passed and still no phone. I now want to cancel my contract, but was told that I first have to cancel my upgrade. I did this on Saturday 2 Nov, and this morning I called again to cancel my contract. Now I am told that it is a 30 day cancellation period. This means I will only be able to have the contract cancelled on 6 Dec and then only I will be able to port my number to Vodacom, who can give me a phone in 48 hours.
What I don't understand is that I've been a loyal customer for 25 years with Cell C. Surely the retention department can try and retain my loyalty by making a plan to get me my iphone 16? But no, they rather would squeeze another month's fees from me and then lose me as a client. I would like this matter to be resolved in one of 2 ways. Deliver my phone to me within the next 48 hours or cancel my contract with immediate effect. Looking forward to your call. My cell number is ***. Alternatively you can contact me on ***
