Upgrade Nightmare

I recently upgraded my cellphone contract online and they sent me the device. I do not like the phone and wanted to exchange it however, I did not know what their returns policies were. I was told by a previous cell c agent that phones have to be returned within 14 days. I wanted to double check this and hunted their website to no avail. I read terms and conditions agreements and they had nothing about their returns policies. Now I have been told (rudely) that it must be returned within 7 days unopened. (I was told on day 8) I was not informed of this when i received the phone, nor did i have access to this information in any form of writing.
