Upgrade

My daughter was contacted 30/12/2017 for an upgrade of her handset. Where after I was contacted – the contract is in my name. She was interested in the New Iphone 8 which was offered to us. My request was for the contract to be the same as what she had on her current contract for the Iphone 6 – It was confirmed by Nhlanhla Nkala that it is the same (meaning it is a top up) – I also said to him in other words I will pay a fixed monthly installment and when she needs data/airtime – we can upload it – which he also confirmed that it will be possible.

Furthermore he said to me that I will only start paying from next year February for the new contract and I will enjoy the benefits from then as well – which means everything stays the same as per the current contract we have – which includes 1G data. Come 1/12/2017 there was no 1G data – only by questioning it, I was told that the old benefits were already cancelled – this was not agreed on when doing the upgrade – Nhlanhla told me on Friday (8/12/2017) that it is the only way to do the upgrade by cancelling the old benefits – this was never disclosed to me and agreed on. Neither was it disclosed to me that it won’t be possible for us to upload data on the new contract should we need to do that,

I asked Nhlanhla then if I can change the contract to what she had and only then he told me that there is no other contract available for this handset – which he choose not to tell me when he tried to close the deal before month end.

It is now a month later - this is still not sorted. I've logged a complaint again 27/12/2017 ref nr 171 ********** 41, but nobody has contacted me as yet. I am a customer with Cell C for the past +- 10 years and this is the worse service ever received. The agent even admitted that he didn't disclosed all the necessary detail to me pertaining the type of contract etc - but still they don't do anything about that.
