UNREASONABLE WAITING TIME FOR CALLS TO BE ANSWERED

Does your legal department ever answer phone calls? I have been waiting on the line for close to an hour, this is just terrible!

I opened a WIFI contract with you in November 2018, with the agreement that I will pay R289 per month. In January I noticed that in December R864 was debited from my account. I called the Customer Care Centre and I was told that my WiFi was open line and had extra charged- this was explained to me by the lady who opened the contract telephonically with me and I admit that it was ignorance on my part. I then asked the lady that the extra charges no longer be charged, as I want to pay no more than R289. She said it was cancelled and I will from thereon only be charged with R289. Surprise, surprise in month end March I was charged AGAIN the R864. I called and Customer Care said my case will be transferred to the Finance Department in less than 72 hours, I then later found (after seeing no progress at all) that the Finance Department is on strike, out of frustration I reversed the debit order as this is causing me a lot of financial distress. I tried contacting Cell C to ask to what account must I pay the CORRECT amount and the call was not answered. 15 April I was debited twice, an amount of R500 and another of R364,01. Mind you, my agreed date of debit order is month end and not the 15th! I then reversed the R500 and kept the debit of R364,01 since it is closer to the agreed amount that I would pay monthly, after doing this I tried calling Customer Care with no avail. When I finally got a call it was from NuDebt saying I owe R1080,02. I called Customer Care AGAIN to inquire about this and telling them that I am waiting for feedback from Finance Department as promised but was told a new story each time and given a run around.

Because I desperately just want to cancel the contract and have nothing to do with Cell C, I want to pay that R1080,02 but I cannot go to the bank because I am ill. I just want you to debit the amount from my bank and also advise on what to do to cancel the contract because wow nindinyisile.
