Unpleasant C Surance experience

Good day

I require urgent assistance.

My phone got lost on Monday, 19/09/2016 between 16:00 and 18:30. I was at Ackermans and Pick & Pay in Primrose, I went back home but could not find my phone. I immediately contacted Cell-C to blacklist the phone, but not my sim-card as it was not in the phone. When I spoke to the lady on the phone I asked her what I need to do. She instructed me to give the IMEI as well as ITC number to the police when I go to do an affidavit. I then need to get the case number ONLY, fill out the insurance claim form and send it through.

This was sent on Tuesday, 20/09/2016 at 07:47 am. I contacted Cell-C insurance at around 10:00 am to find out if it was received. A lady then instructed me to get a copy of the affidavit and send it through. I told her that this was in impossible task as I then had to go back to the police station after work and who knows if they will be able to give me a copy. As per the claim form you have to provide all the SAPS details i.e. area, contact number, ITC number, case number. Surely you investigate and get a copy, not send me up and down?!

I then contacted Cell-C insurance again at around 13:00 whereby a lady (very rudely) told me that I was told before that I must send a copy of the affidavit as well as a copy of my ID. This was once again news to me.

I would suggest that you actually train your staff on your policies and procedures and not make your PAYING CUSTOMER phone and run around!!

On Tuesday, 20/09/2016 at around 17:30 I went back to Primrose SAPS to try and find a copy of the affidavit. They then told me that they send all documents away for filing so some area close by, but could not give me a proper address or building name or anything.

Please contact me immediately so that we can resolve this as I am currently without a phone and need one urgently!

Good day!

All required documents was submitted on Thursday, 22/09. I proceeded to contact C-Surance on numerous occasions but battled to get through. I finally spoke to a gentleman on Friday, 23/09 morning whom informed me that they are awaiting the usage report. After someone will contact me by 16:00 on Friday, 23/09 to confirm the excess to be paid and the banking details. No surprise no one contacted me.

I have been trying to get hold of ANYONE at the C-Surance offices to find out how far my claim is and what my excess is. I keep on being placed on HOLD for 20 minutes and then get cut off. Are the people in the call centre too lazy to take my call? Do they NOT work on a Monday? Please can you clarify this. I am a PAYING customer that keeps on having to run AFTER YOU to find out what is going on with my claim. Also note that I PAY THE INSURANCE ON A MONTHLY BASIS AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS A PAYING CUSTOMER, NOT A PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!!!!!!

Please get back to me with a dash of speed!
