My contract was R250.00 per month and I was contacted by a Cell C call center agent and offered a reduced amount of only R199.00 per month. I have been debited the R199.00 and the original R250.00 which is a total of R449.00 per month and was supposed to only be R199.00 per month as agreed with the Cell C call center agent. I queried with the Cell C customer care line as the original agreed total on the contact as discussed with the Cell C call center agent would have been R199.00 per month only.

They confirmed that the voice recording of my agreed contract specification with the Cell C call center agent indeed agreed to a monthly installment of only R199.00 per month as agreed with the Cell C call center agent telephonically. Another Cell C representative contacted me regarding my complaint and agreed that the voice recording proved that I was well within my right to query as this was the contract specification that was offered to me by the specific Cell C call center agent that contacted me for the offer. I was informed by the Cell C representative that another representative would contact me from Cell C’s offices to get all relevant details in order to refund me the installment of R250.00 which was overcharged according to their lawfully bound voice recorded contract agreement between myself and the Cell C call center agent.

It’s been 5 months and I have yet to receive any correspondence from Cell C or the return of my monies in the bank. Cell C still continues to debit the full ******** R449.00 amount from my account. I was also offered a copy of the voice recorded call between myself and the Cell C call center agent but up to date have not received any correspondence regarding the matter.

Not a happy Cell C client at all.
