Unauthorized debit order.

I had a 24 month contract with cell c for a laptop. It included free data which I never used because I have free wifi, were I live. I have paid my contract faithfully for the 24 months which ended at the end of July 2020 . Now I see that they are debiting my bank account for R105.00 per month for data I never requested. When I phoned this morning to cancel the data, which I never requested, they told me that it was my own fault for not letting them know that my contract had finished and I would still have to pay for September and October. In other words they will be cheating me and ********ly taking money I did not agree to, to the value of R315.00. As I am an 81 year old pensioner, although this seems like a trifle, but to me, it is a big bite out of my pension. In other words, if I did not check my bank account, they would have kept on milking my bank account *******ly. Please help me. Like · Reply ·

Why wasn't I told this when I took out contract for laptop? I am 81 years old and cannot see well so, didn't know there was small print . This is not acceptable as I would not have known about the extra money that would be taken from my bank account forever for something I do not use.. Be sure that I will advise everyone to make absolutely certain that,they stop this extra money 20 days before their contracts end. Please advise your clients of this, when they trustingly take out a contract with your company. I PHONED TO CANCEL THIS DEBIT ORDER AND WAS TOLD THAT i WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR END OF OCTOBER AS WELL BUT I CANCELLED ON THE 25TH SEPTEMBER AND THAT IS MORE THAN 20 DAY'S NOTICE.

I cancelled om the 25th September, by phone, which I was told, is recorded. That is 20 working days notice so, why must I still pay you on the 26th October???????
