Unauthorized contract taken out in my name

I am extremely concerned about a contract that was taken out in my name without my knowledge, consent, or authorisation. I reported the matter and provided the information requested, including my affidavit and copy of my ID. The query was logged on the 18th of August 2026, under reference ***. I have fully cooperated with the investigation and supp**** the requested documentation. However, I am concerned about the process and the fact that to date no one from Cell C has contacted me. I did contact their customer service on the 24th of August 2026 and was told that the issue is under investigation. I am so worried about the safety of my personal information. If someone can open a contract in my name without my consent and they succeed, that means my information is not safe. Cell C is busy debiting my account and compiling bank charges. After everything that has happened, I still need to deal with bank charges that had nothing to do with me.
