Unauthorised debit order by Cell C
I cancelled my contract as I emigrated and paid the settlement in full in April. things were fine for a couple of months and then I was debited amount of R392.25 the 1st of July, after numerous emails to Cell C (as it is difficult due to time difference as well as costly to call from overseas) I have had absolutely no response. Sadly I heard that this has happened to someone I know so probably happens a lot. In my opinion this constitutes ***** as I paid what was due to early cancellation, which is in my rights as per the Consumer Protection Act and Cell C have no right to debit my account. My advice do not sign any contract with Cell C.

We can confirm that that was your last debit order. Please note that the commitment amount paid was excluding the invoiced amount which was debited at the end of June 2019.

21 Jul 2019, 21:52I appreciate your reply but still do not understand why when I asked for a settlement amount to cancel the contract and close this account I was not given the full amount and I still get debited 2 months later.
