Unallocated payment
Good evening
CF087872] // CF087470
I have Metrofibre month to month home WiFi with Cell C,and my account get debited on 25 of each other. In December my account was not debited because 25 was on Christmas day. So unfortunately Cell C did not debit my account. On 3 January 2024 I received a message from Cell C saying that my account is on arrears. I called Cell C call Centre and spoke to a consultant and ask her why was my account no debited. She failed to respond to my question and I asked her to effect debit order and she told me that debit order for January 2024 has already being loaded and I can make an EFT payment which I did . After making a payment to Cell C on my bank app,I send proof of payment to Cell C and they confirmed that they have received it. In January 2024 on the 25 I noticed that my Cell C was debited R998. I called Cell C to enquire and I was told by consultant that it was debited twice because EFT that I made for the same account of Cell C that was debited could not be allocated. Because it seems as if I have used old account number for Cell C not the Metrofibre account number for Cell C although my reference number is correct but unfortunately they could not allocated my payment to Cell C. They advised me to go to the bank . I went to the bank of which I was told the money was successfully paid to Cell C account but it Metrofibre Cell C told me there is nothing they can do. I was surprised because they are Cell C but they told me they can't assist me. Since the money is somewhere in Cell C old account that is still active but not with Metro fibre whereas they are subsidiaries of Cell C. I even ask the them to try and assist me by retrieving the money from Cell C as their subsidiary and allocate it to my account. I feel that I was treated badly by Cell C,because is their fault from the onset by not debiting my account in December although I had funds in my account. Kindly assist me you are my last hope. Regards
