UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE FROM DANIEL PILLAY CLAIMING TO BE FROM CELLC

I have just received a phone call from a Daniel Pillay from the number *** claiming to be from CellC. He advised that my CellC contract had expired last month and he was wondering why I had not upgraded my contract. I told him that I had given CellC written notice to terminate my contract when it expired and to change my contract to a “pay as you go”. He asked how I had advised CellC. I told him that I had given them written notice by e-mail. He told me that CellC do not accept written notice by e-mail; you have to personally phone them to give them notice. I told him that that was totally unacceptable as in the past I had always given written notice by e-mail and he must send me written proof that CellC had given me written notification that they no longer accepted written notice of non-renewal of contracts by e-mail and that I had to phone them. He told he that he was not prepared to speak to me as he did not like my tone of voice. I asked to speak to his boss. He said that he does not know who his boss is. Over and over he told me that he does not know who the boss of CellC is. I told him that I was not asking him who the “boss of CellC” is, I was asking who his boss is, the person to whom he reports. He said that he did not know. After asking him numerous times for the name of his boss and him telling me that he did not know who is boss is, he told me that he only knows the name of his manager but that he refused to put me through to his manager. I said that if he did not put me through to his manager, that would not be a problem, I would contact the CellC CEO’s office in this regard. He then told me that his manager was Shawn and he would put me through. I held on for ages and ages until he cut me off. Every time that I tried to call the number from which he had phoned i.e. ***, it said that the number did not exist. I look forward to hearing from CellC in this regard.
