Triple Debit ordered in May, Cell C REFUSE to refund the amounts they overcharged
Cell C attempted 3 separate debit orders in May amounting to over R3500.00 for a phone contract of R489.13. We have tried for over 2 weeks, speaking to several consultants, branch managers and recently visiting the branch yet Cell C refuse to pay back the money they rightfully owe. The phone contract was taken out in February, in March they debit ordered R454, in April they debit ordered R489.13 (confused as to why there are discrepancies in debit orders) and all of a sudden in May they first Debit ordered first and amount just under R1000, 2 days later they took another R1100.00 and a few days later took another R1700.00!!! We have gone around in circles firstly trying to get the money back and find an explanation to this. Cell C claim that these amounts were agreed to in February when the contract was renewed, howcome these amounts were not taken for March and April but all of a sudden 2 months later they miraculously claim we owe them a ridiculous amount of momey for a R489.13 contract?? Cell C are firstly unable to provide us with proof in the form of a voice recording of the phone call where the conditions of the contract were discussed yet claim we owe them this money. Secondly, they refuse to pay the money back and cannot justify the discrepancies in amounts debited over the past 3 months. We have a voice recording of a cell C representative stating the contract only amounts to R489.13. This is unjust and thus far we have been sent running in circles trying to get the money back. Extremely disappointed at how inconsistent the contract has been presented and at the lack of urge or interest from Cell C's side to assist their client. No justifications or explanations seem to be presented and Cell C themselves are unable to clarify any of this, seems a bit suspect and outright atrocious to unrightfully debit money from somebodies account during a world wide health and finacial crisis. Thank you Cell C, the money you took was supposed to feed a family for the month. Great customer service
