<p>I recently took out a new contract with cell c, and wanted to keep my old phone number from the previous contract I have with glocell . When I asked if this was possible I was told that It could be done only if the number I wanted it to be PORTED to,was on a prepaid and not a contract. I then cancelled the old number on contract and put it on prepaid so I could do the port. I was also told that there would not be any extra charge since it is a new contract and the number would be PORTED. however they made me choose a number which I told them I don't want because I am going to keep my old number and will port it as soon as it is put on prepaid. they said I have to choose a number to activate the contract. so I did, once again getting assurance that there would not be an extra cost for the port. </p> <p> </p> <p>Now that I got my old number on prepaid, when I went to the store they wanted to charge me R250 to get the number PORTED, and said that it was not a number port but rather a number change. </p> <p> </p> <p>I am really annoyed and will let the world know how cell c rips people off. </p> <p> </p> <p>Irritated and angered customer</p>
