Told that phone call to agent would be terminated for using the word 'nonsense' when referring to the SPAM marketing SMS messages they send.

I just had the misfortune of having to deal with an agent in the CellC call center.

After requesting that they stop sending their 'nonsense' marketing SMS messages to me, I was told by the agent that they were terminating the call due to my use of the term 'nonsense'.

Firstly, CellC should not be sending unsolicited marketing SMS messages to any new subscriber, prepaid or other.

This falls under the commonly accepted definition of the word SPAM (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_spam).

Secondly, in trying to describe what SMS messages I would NOT like to receive, the word 'Nonsense' is one of the nicest descriptions I could have used.

I also only resorted to the use of the word when the agent had trouble understanding the words 'unsolicited' and 'marketing' when attempting to explain that I would still like to receive relevant, account based SMS communication.

I guess I will stay with cell C, but I hope they can educate their agents better. Or possibly choose better educated agents.
