This is not a honest company
I signed (over the phone) contract with Cell C on the 20th of June 2019 for a Heuwei Pocket Router for R199 per month. On the 1st of July 2019 they increased the price to R213,25. AFTER ONLY 10 DAYS INTO THE CONTRACT. It is supposed to be a 24 month contract for R199 per month. This cannot be right. What does the 24 months on the adverti*****t mean if they can push the price up anytime that they wish. Their response when I complained was that they pushed up the prices for all their clients. I do not understand this. I have been a client of MTN for many years and if you signed a contract with them for 24 months for an amount of XYZ it stays the same for the 24 month contract. I think Cell C is taking me for a ride and I see this as *****.
Cell C has always positioned itself as the consumer champion and ensured that our product value proposition and pricing is aligned to deliver value for money to customers. Despite our best efforts to maintain our pricing, rising input costs has necessitated an increase in the price we charge the end consumer.
We confirm that in terms of your individual subscriber agreement with Cell C, Cell C has the right to change any of its charges from time to time, on notice to you, by means of publishing an amended tariff plan and submitting such tariff plan to ICASA.
