I was sent a photo a part of the tablet that was allegedly 'damaged' - a part that is inside the tablet and would require specialized tools to access. Conveniently, a part that was not covered by the warranty.

I'm trying to wrap my head around what happened. I received a device, when I attempted to use it, I discovered that it was damaged in some way, so I returned the item [this took WAY too long] for 'assessment' - I was advised that the cost of repairs was in excess of the devices value and that I'd have to pay.

As far as I can tell, Cell C has no process in place for incidents like this. I even asked for them to cancel the upgrade which they said they couldn't do. I told them, why would I damage a device in the first week of having received it ? When I handed the tablet in - the lady at the store took photo's of it and turned it on and off as a form of pre-check. She even commented that the tablet was in mint condition.

During one of my interactions it was alluded too that I'd **** which I really take offense too. I have been a client Cell C's since they opened, yes, we've had some issues, but these were resolved amicably. Cell C's service just went up and up and up from my point of view - which is why I stayed with them.

Then this happened - and the slate is now wiped clean. I will continue to post reviews until my contract is up - I want people to know just how BAD things can get at Cell C.
