The ciminals we call our network providers in SA. Spesific reference to Cell C.

Cell C keeps on *****ing from customers (in addition to another hellpeter review). I recharged with R40 airtime and I bought a R20 data bundle (pay as you go sim). I still have data left from the bundle, yet my remaining R20 airtime is gone!!! So cell c just took the airtime from my account. And I know they'll say I went out of bundle and all that bull****!!!! But im looking at a positive data balance yet my airtime is gone! Before my pay as you go sim, I had a contract with Cell C (i only have this sim, because it's the best coverage at my home and I occasionally use it as a hotspot when Vodacom's coverage at my home is insufficient, by that I mean so slow whatsapp doesn't even work. In Pretoria close to Hatfield, shocking!)

I've had the unique plesure of having a Cell C contract before this pay as you go sim. I've never been so displeased with a network provider the sales person blatantly **** about the terms of my contract and after signing, I had only realised what had happend. Cell C obviously denied the *********** sales person's statements regarding my complaints and fury. The contract was a Epic (something). The basics of my contract were you get R350 airtime a month for data/voice/sms. I asked the sales person directly if the R350 can be used to buy data and voice bundles. She told me yes I can buy data with that amount. It's kind of obvious when you get airtime with a contract you'll use that airtime to buy data so I wasn't even concerned. After the first month of buying data bundles with my airtime, I recieved the invoice from Cell C. The bill was something like R700 and the data bundles were all added to my account not deducted from my massive amount of airtime. I decided on that contract because R350 airtime can buy you a considerable amount of data! About 2 gig if you only buy 30 bundles.

The aftermath of Cell C's incompetence was that my airtime was used as data at a out of bundle rate!! Which ment that I was left with 350 mb data. R1 for 1mb out of bundle cost! As opposed to the minimum of 2gb that R350 can buy. My monthly payment was supposed to be R420 device included. But when you've bargained on 2 gig and is left with 350mb excluding calls and sms, you'll be topping up your account by at least another R200 a month. In the end the avg monthly amount added up to R700. Now imagine that over 2 years.

Cell C denied their staff's ignorance and incompetence. It would have cost so much more to seek legal remedies and go through all the steps to correct this colossal ***** up! In the end I did what every consumer who's up against a massive entity does, I left the matter payed the contract for 2 years and went back to Vodacom.

I sincerely hope Cell C or any other network provider in SA messes with the wrong person someday and gets what they deserve! I am a law student and I've devoted my studies to bringing these absolute ********* of network providers to justice for all the wrong they have done/doing to the community. In my mind they are one of the largest contributors to a third world SA! I mean just the other day it was found that airtime can't expire. Money in the bank can't expire, how on earth could money in a network account ever have been allowed to expire. It's sick! You can only imagine how much undue profit they have made through the years from just "expired" cash.

(Ps. I initially came on to the web to see if someone else has had the same problem. There were hundreds of similar complaints. So in my first internet review ever, I thought it would be fitting to write about our network providers. Since my airtime was ****** about 10 minutes before this review.)
