Terrible service level regarding CellC contract
My name is Andile Bhengu. I am writing this review as i am excruciatingly devastated by the poor level of service as well as mediocrity displayed by CellC. I am an existing Cell C customer however never in my life have i been so inconvenienced and left in such dire detriment as i have just recently experienced. I took out a new contract with Cell C, which was very well, upon taking out the contract it was discussed that i would pay for the sim and connection fee along with my direct debit as a lump sum going off on my account on the 06th of each month respectively. Days later my lines were suspended to my surprise. I called customer care and notified that my lines were cancelled because i hadn't paid the sim and connection fee. I then went to the Cell C store in Centurion mall where i was told by the store manager that my lines could not have been blocked because of that. She stated that i owed an amount of R369, i then told her i hadn’t missed any payments. She asked for my statements and I sent them to her immediately as proof of having paid. She agreed that my account was up to date and sent the statement to the finance department and also stating their system had not been updated because of the strike. She opened my lines temporarily and said that the finance would handle the matter accordingly. Not so long after, it could have been a couple of days, my lines were suspended again to my utter bemu*****t. I called the customer care line and spoke to Nolwazi, i began to explain what my issue was pointing out the relevant facts of my case. She could however not make sense of what the issue was. I sent my statement as she said again that I owed R369. Which should have been cleared from the very beginning as per my visit to the Cell C store. She couldn't explain what the R369 was for just as the store manager couldn't despite this amount that i am being told i owe having been taken from my account as per my statement reflecting. As per what she could see she stated that i was not owing based on the facts however could not explain what this R369 that Cell C had tried to debit was for. As explained, stated and agreed upon by witnesses (cell c staff), my account was up to date. One of my lines were then again opened/resumed (new line - Old line still suspended till date.) it doesn't end there..... on the 06th of May my Cell C debit didn't go off as requested initially. I pondered why?? And resumed to mull it over in my head deducing that there was the high possibility of more negligence to follow. I was not unnerved, i was quite simply blissfully annoyed, knowing very well what was to come. Later on in that day i received my statement from CellC. My heart nearly stopped as the shop was near cataclysmic... i couldn’t believe my eyes when the statement read that i owed an amount of R1600 (odd rands). I fail to understand how this ridiculous amount came to be. I called in again... more timely inconvenience experienced.... this time around i spoke to a lady by the name of Thando, who if i may say, sounded very much like Nolwazi. I asked her what was going on and she explained that she was not sure as two separate amounts were reflecting. An amount owing of R 1200 and an amount R1600 (odd rands). She again like the previous two staff members stated that i owed an amount overdue of R369. I then explained again from the beginning exactly what had happened from my last store visit to my last phone call conversation with a previous consultant. Stating again the facts. And again she said she would send it to the finance in order for the matter to be rectified. She mentioned that debits had tried going off however she couldn't explain what these debits were for. She said it would take a matter of 3 days. I have not heard anything since and my accounts are still not amended by their systems as promised, my debits have still not gone off, my existing line is still suspended. I am expecting that they will soon suspend my new line. I have been greatly let down by Cell and would appreciate it of the matter was resolved expediently. One of their reps has since logged a case... i still wait to hear how the matter has been resolved or will be.
