terrible customer recourse

Cell C does not have the capacity to deal with customer issues. They just have agents who know nothing about the case and call the customer with zero resolutions only to demand what Cell C thinks is right and the only resolution. Its pathetic!

My old contract for my Samsung A10 (Which I paid R219 a month) finished at the end of August and I was due for a new one in September. As such, I was contacted in August by an agent and sold a phone that was not suitable ( Samsung A2) for R227 a month. I received the phone on the 18th of August. The phone kept dropping calls, was not picking up strong signal in my apartment and kept freezing, so I returned the device on the 27th August. I received a response on the 1 September stating that I was approved for a replacement. I was contacted by an agent (Jeremy) and I asked for an iphone instead as the Samsung did not prove ideal for work, but was told there was no stock. I then asked that they reverse the contract and would settle for a sim only deal, while I waited for new stock of iphones. He offered me the R99 a month contract on the pinnacle 2GB. I agreed to this. At no point did he tell me he was waiting for feedback on this and that it was R179 a month. Later that day, I then received an SMS stating that the contract was reversed (8 September) and another sms to say that I was now on the Pinnacle 2GB TopUp 2019 plan. At no point did they say it was not R99 a month and R179 a month. Later in the month, I was billed R227. This is the original amount of the contract I reversed and when I contacted Cell C, they said they had no indication that the contract was reversed. So I sent through screenshots of the sms confirming the reversal. Then I get told I am actually being charged for the 2GB pinnacle and courier charges even though I was told couriering the phone would be free. I tell them the 2GB plan was actually R99 a month. Then I get a call from Jeremy apologising that he made a mistake and it was not R99 and was actually R179 a month. I tell him I'm not okay with this and will not pay extra for his mistake. He offers me a lesser sim deal and then puts me through to billing and accounts. Accounts still insists I pay R227 but cannot tell me whether its for the reversed contract installment or the sim deal and courier fees. I get told they will escalate a case. I then received an SMS on 15 October, stating that the Case has been resolved and a credit has been processed into my Cell C account. But then another agent calls me to demand the R227. I have since been called by at least 16 agents trying to resolve this but just can't seem to find a resolution to it. I am so done with Cell C, I just want out. I dont care whether I lose my number, I have been a client of theirs for more than 10 years, have NEVER missed a payment, but get treated like dirt by its customer service and frankly, I will pay the R227 just to be done with them and go to vodacom or mtn instead.

Thank you. I do not want to be called again and have to explain this again for the umpteenth time. The agents do not listen to me, they just tell me what they have written on the system. There is no effort made to rectify or update what is on their system.
